African Man Returns Empty-Handed after 30 Years Abroad: "I Don't Know Where My Kids Are"

A man from Africa has come back home after spending 30 years abroad, empty-handed and troubled. He claims to have lived in London for nine years and in the USA for 21 years. His return was prompted by an unexplained illness that followed a peculiar incident. After an intimate encounter with his American wife, he allegedly began barking like a dog. Despite medical attention, the cause of this sickness remains elusive. Identified as Pastor Joseph Ibironke, he disclosed having four children with his American wife; however, he is currently unaware of their locations.

A Nigerian man has narrated a painful story of how he lived abroad for 30 years but returned empty-handed.  

How did the African man find himself in a financial predicament?

Pastor Joseph Ibironke mentioned that he relocated to the UK approximately in 1983 or 1984, seeking better opportunities and improved prospects. Departing from his position at a bank, he spent nine years in the UK in pursuit of a more favorable life.

Over those nine years, he took on the role of a security guard, having received training as an armed guard. Finding the UK still lacking, he then made a move to the United States, where he spent a significant 21 years. In the US, he achieved notable success as an electronics dealer. Describing his accomplishments, he mentioned owning a store in Orange County, California, an area predominantly inhabited by whites with no Black residents. Specializing in the sale of advanced electronics, he frequently traveled to Japan for purchases and sales.

In his own words to Punch Newspaper, he stated, "I was always going to Japan to buy electronics and sell them. I was also the only black in Orange County at the time who made it (was successful)." Despite his achievements, he is currently unaware of the whereabouts of the four children he fathered during his time in the USA.

"I was previously married and had four children. At present, I'm uncertain about their current whereabouts as their mother departed following my illness," Ibironke revealed. Before his international sojourn, he had tied the knot in Nigeria and had two children. Unfortunately, his Nigerian wife had to leave their home after relatives ousted her when he moved to the UK.

Describing the onset of his mysterious ailment, Ibironke recounted an unusual episode where he began barking and foaming at the mouth after intimate moments with his American wife. This perplexing condition led to a 14-month hospitalization in the USA, where doctors were unable to diagnose the issue. Concerned Nigerians, attributing the ailment to a spiritual attack, advised his return to Nigeria for treatment.

The pastor narrated a challenging period of several years spent sleeping under a bridge in Lagos until a compassionate fellow pastor intervened with prayers.

After residing in Canada for two decades, he lamented that upon his return home, he could only acquire two properties. Opinions among people were divided, with some expressing support for him, while others argued that Canada still offered superior prospects.
