Founded in 1959, this private organization, located at 15 Mwanzi Road opposite West Gate Mall, Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya, serves as the representative body for value-add industries in Kenya. Over the years, it has transformed into a dynamic, credible, and respected business association, providing a unified voice for industrialists.


The Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) plays a crucial role in fostering cooperation, dialogue, and understanding with the government. By conveying the perspectives and concerns of its members to relevant authorities, KAM fulfills its core mandate of policy advocacy. In 2009, KAM marked its 50th anniversary by introducing a new corporate image. The strategic objectives of KAM include driving industrial growth to achieve a 15% contribution of the manufacturing sector to GDP by 2019, supporting a skills-based job creation agenda with a 33% increase in manufacturing sector jobs, enhancing market access for products both locally and globally to achieve a 33% growth in exports by 2019, and maintaining a broad membership base while ensuring operational excellence.
